How we began…
In 2004 the Czech fashion brand Jakša Stories came into existence. “Incredible stories for those who still have hot blood running through their veins and who feel the need to be invincible at any occasion…”. This was the slogan used on the labels of the original models in the author’s boutique in Český Budějovice. T-shirts, dresses, skirts, bags, colors, comfortable materials and a touch of the Mediterranean … the place where the author drew her inspiration. Each piece was an original which only a single owner could be proud of. During a short period of time the Jakša Stories models began to be sold even in boutiques in Prague with the young author’s fashion.
In 2005 and 2006 the author spent her time gathering new stimulus and drawing further inspiration, this time on the Balearic Islands.
In the summer of 2007 she introduced a new line of clothing called NoStandard at the Styl trade fair in Brno. The focus of the brand was shifted to vivacious underwear for men and women, swimwear and so-called Lazy wear or comfortable clothing for wearing round the house. Over time the offer was expanded with dresses, T-shirts, tunics, skirts and other models. Everything is still produced in the Czech Republic in small batches and from quality foreign materials.
In the autumn of 2009 the designer moved to Berlin to draw new inspiration. Thus the third and present form of the company name Katy Yaksha was created, fusing the energy of a modern metropolis and the relaxed atmosphere of the Mediterranean islands. And so a line of elegant sports clothing for the whole day was formed. The models are presented at young designer exhibitions in Berlin and are available in boutiques in the Czech Republic.
